School Briefs - Middlebrook School

International Festival, Friday, April 25, 6:30-9:30 pm. Taste international dishes donated by Middlebrook families and local restaurants. Also, see a belly dancer, Bollywood performers, Irish step dancers and a henna tattoo artist. Games, crafts and raffle prizes, too. Tickets: $5 at the door, children under 4 are free.

The second grade Middlebrook Brownie Troop 35251 is organizing a food drive this week for the Trumbull food pantry. Please send in your non-perishable goods to the school with your child to support this cause. There will be a bin setup in the school lobby.

The annual Mother’s Day Plant Sale will be held May 8 and 9. We are looking for “Great Mom Centered” raffles for our raffle table this year.

Field Day is scheduled for April 30 this year; rain date is May 2.

Volunteers will be needed from all classes to make this year”s Field Day a success. We need 60 volunteers per session. There are two sessions based on grades:

Grades K, 1, and 2: 9:15-11:15 a.m. Arrive at 8:45 in the gym for assignments.

Grades: 3, 4, and 5: 1:30-3 p.m. Arrive at 1 in the gym for assignments.

This is a wonderful opportunity for parents, grandparents and guardians to volunteer their time and see the kids have fun.
