No school on Monday, Jan. 19, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.

Booth Hill School

The Father’s Club Pancake Palooza Breakfast will take place on Superbowl Sunday, Feb. 1, from 7:30-11:30 a.m. Cost is $10 a person and $30 per family. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online at The breakfast will feature games, prizes, raffles and a Breakfast Blitz menu of pancakes (original, chocolate chip, and blueberry), eggs, sausage, bacon, coffee, milk and orange juice. Batter, butter and syrup donated by Chip’s in Trumbull.

After school enrichment begins on Monday, Jan 26, and Thursday, Jan. 29.

Daniels Farm School

Daniels Farm School Father’s Club will hold a Pasta Night on Friday, Jan. 30, at Daniels Farm School. Dinner served starting at 6 p.m., also with raffle and games. Menu: Pasta with your choice of sauces; meatballs, sausage and peppers, garlic bread. Chicken nuggets, mac and cheese for the kids. Send via backpack mail to: Attn. Father’s Club Pasta Night, Eddie Gutierrez, c/o Roberto Gutierrez, Miss Birch, 4th grade. Indicate family name; number of adult tickets; number of children tickets, and amount enclosed. Cost: $10 adult/$5 children.

Frenchtown School

Our final celebration for Wolfie’s Birthday at Ruby Tuesday’s is Thursday, Jan. 15. Remember to bring the flyer with you for Frenchtown’s Give Back Promotion.

Middlebrook School

Jan 11-Feb 15: Kids In Motion Winter Challenge. Keep track of your child’s physical fitness during the next 6 weeks. Do a 15 minute activity 3 times a week to meet the challenge!

Jan 22, 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Sensitivity Day at Middlebrook. Fourth Graders will get to experience what it is like to live with various challenges that other’s may face, including dyslexia, food allergies, physical handicaps, vision and hearing impairments. Other grades will have guest readers come in and discuss topics that deal with acceptance and understanding.

Fifth grade activity nights will be starting soon. All fifth grade parents, your child will be bringing home notices with dates and times for these fun Friday night activities which will be held at the school. Volunteers will be needed to make these events a success.
