Daylight Savings Time begins at 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 8. Don’t forget to turn your clocks one hour ahead before going to bed.

Frenchtown School

We are collecting new and gently used books for infants through 8th grade for Connecticut children served by the Books for Kids Early Literacy Initiative, a partnership between the United Way of Coastal Fairfield County and Read to Grow, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting early literacy. The collection box will be in the lobby now through March 13. A grade 5 student and her parents are sponsoring the collection.

Spring Photos will be on Wednesday, March 11. Individual photos only will be taken. No class photos. More information will be sent home.

Student Council will sponsor a Spirit Day-Twin Day on Thursday, March 12.

Father’s Club Movie Night will be held on Friday, March 13. Look for flyer to come home with information on the movie to be shown.

Frenchtown’s Multicultural Dinner will be on Friday, March 27, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Flyers with all information have been sent home. No tickets will be sold at the door.

Jane Ryan School

Spring picture day is on Tuesday, March 10. The PTA earns $1 per student or 15% of total sales. Each child will be photographed, but there is no obligation to buy. No payment is due until after the pictures are sent home. Please return the completed order form by Tuesday with your child. Solid colored clothing works best in these photos. Middlebrook School

March 10, 7:15-8:15 p.m., Father’s Club meeting in the library.

March 12, 9-10 a.m., Chat with Pat in the library. An informal, drop-in discussion hour with the principal.
