Booth Hill School
BHS Spring Clean 2015. Please drop off at Booth Hill School, tightly-tied garbage bags with your used clothing, shoes, handbags, stuffed animals and small toys between the hours of 8:15-8:45 a.m., and 3-3:30 p.m., Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, April 22, 23 and 24.
Frenchtown School
Wishing all students and staff that celebrate a Happy Passover and a Happy Easter.

There will be no school on Friday, April 3 for Good Friday.

There will be no school on Monday, April 6 for students. Staff will participate in Professional Development.

Spirit Day is Tuesday, April 7. Students and staff should wear blue and white or spirit wear.

Grade 5 Invention Convention will be on Tuesday, April 7. Judging will take place in the morning. Parents are invited to view the inventions from noon until 2:40pm.

5th grade students will not be in the gym from 12:40 to 1:30pm due to lunch and recess.

Grade 3 Math Night is Wednesday, April 8 at 7pm in the cafetorium. Parents of third graders are invited to join your child in grade 3 for fun math activities organized by the third grade teachers.

Read Aloud Day is Thursday, April 9. All classes will have a visiting reader in their classroom.

The District Wide Cultural Diversity Committee will meet on Thursday, April 9 at 7pm at Frenchtown.

All students will participate in Jump Rope for Heart on Friday, April 10. Don’t forget to send in your donation envelopes.

No school April 13-17 for spring recess.

Jane Ryan School
Junior Achievement helpers are still needed in some classes. If you are interested or would like more information, contact Maura Rhodes.

Place your order today for Jane Ryan Spirit Wear. Order forms came home in backpacks and all orders are due back to Jane Ryan by April 8. All spirit wear will be delivered to your child’s classroom. Orders take three to four weeks. Any questions, contact Tina Carlos.

The PTA will be hosting a book fair on Tuesday, April 21. All books will be buy one, get one free. More details to follow.

The Cub Scout Spring Clean-Up will be on Monday, April 27 after school. The Lion’s Pride Garden Group will have their spring clean up on Saturday, May 2 from noon-4 p.m.

Kids Offering Our Love (KOOL) will begin a new spring event to help students of Bridgeport schools. Families of Jane Ryan will be asked to donate unused school supplies to help Bridgeport students in the 2015-16 school year. A flier went home in backpacks asking JR families to nominate a Bridgeport teacher to receive school supplies. Sponsor names were due to Jane Ryan by March 27. The collection will take place in the beginning of May and end with an evening party on Friday, May 8 for the students to assemble the bags/boxes.

The Father’s Club annual golf tournament will be on Monday, May 11. Rain date is Tuesday, May 19. Registration is at 9:30 a.m., with a shotgun tee off at 11. Cost is $180 per player. This event is limited to 144 golfers – 36 foursomes. The format will be scramble, using a minimum of two drives off the tee from all team members.
