Frenchtown School
Thursday, May 14, PTA meeting at 6:30 p.m., in the Frenchtown School library. David Weitzman, M.Ed., L.C.S.W., Trumbull Schools will present The Art of Successful Failure: Helping Kids Keep it Together When Things Fall Apart.

May 18, grade 2 students will present their Community Workers’ Fair in the cafetorium from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

Wednesday, May 20, Frenchtown’s Reflections Celebration at 6:30 p.m., for all students who participated in this year’s PTA Reflections program. Invitations have been sent home to those invited.

Thursday, May 21, assembly entitled “Bullyproof Your School.” David Weitzman, our social worker, will open and close the school day with positive PBIS messages.

Kindercolors will be on Friday, June 15.

Friday, May 15 is the last day to check out library books.

Caribbean Day/School BBQ will be on Wednesday, May 20. The second grade community helpers presentation will be on Thursday, May 21 at 2 p.m.

Middlebrook School
Many volunteer opportunities are available at Middlebrook:

Tuesday, May 19, Field Day: Grades K-2: 9:15-11:15 a.m., (arrive at 8:45 a.m. in gym for assignments) and grades: 3-5: 1:30-3 p.m., (arrive at 1 p.m. in gym for assignments). June 3 is the rain date. We will need parent volunteers to help with the events. Contact

Kindergarten orientation bus rides May 20 and May 21. Two volunteers needed per bus to ride along with the children for each session. Wednesday, May 20, 8:45-10 a.m., bus will arrive at 9:45; and 10:45-noon, bus will arrive at 11:45. Thursday, May 21, 8:45-10 a.m., bus will arrive at 9:45 and 10:45-noon, bus will arrive at 11:45.
