Frenchtown School
Tuesday, Oct. 6 there will be a PBIS/T.R.A.C.K.S. workshop for parents at 7 p.m. The presenter will be Jim Vagias who also presented to staff at our faculty meeting this afternoon.

Every Tuesday will be Spirit Day. Students and staff will wear blue and white, Frenchtown spirit wear or a shirt with a Wolf on it. The last Tuesday of every month is Citizenship Day when students and staff wear red, white and blue.

Wednesday, Oct. 7 will be PBIS Day at Frenchtown. We have assemblies by Jim Vagias called Bullyproof Your School II. We will have read alouds, activities that pertain to T.R.A.C.K.S. and character. The whole day will be spent looking at the “whole child” academically, socially, emotionally and physically.

The first District Wide Cultural Diversity Committee meeting of the new school year will be Thursday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

Frenchtown will once again be participating in the Stop and Shop A+ Program! Our school ID is 06238. Register your 13 digit Stop and Shop card at Earn points while you shop that will equate back to dollars for our school. You can contact Mrs. Weiss in the Main Office to input your number for you.

We are collecting Box Tops. Don’t forget to send them in.

If you have a Target credit card you can link it to Frenchtown. Our School ID is 119613, You can go to the link to designate Frenchtown as your school.

Jane Ryan School
Donate a new or gently used children’s book (grades K-8) to the Jane Ryan Book Drive. Books will be donated to Read to Grow, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting early literacy throughout Connecticut. The books will be distributed to families through pediatric primary care centers, childcare centers, schools and other programs serving communities in need. A collection box will be located in front of the media center for the entire year. Any questions, contact Mrs. Beccaria.

Special discounted tickets are available for Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus’ Legends show at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport. Tickets are $26.50 per person (center ice sections) for Saturday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m. Return payment and form (came home in your child’s backpack) by Friday, Oct. 9 in an envelope marked RBBB Circus.

Picture retake day will be Oct. 26, from 8-10 a.m. If your child was absent or if you would like a "do over", bring your entire package that day. (Pics have not gone home yet, but many who ordered the free digital pic with the coupon code received theirs via email). We should be receiving Madison's packages within two weeks.

Pumpkin Fair — Saturday, Oct. 24, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The Jane Ryan Pumpkin Fair volunteer sign-ups are open with three shifts to choose from for adults and teens looking for service hours. This year every adult volunteer will get a book of 20 game tickets  and either a ticket for a raffle for a $100 Visa gift card just for volunteers or 20 additional tickets for each subsequent shift.  If you can't help out the day of the fair, we need lots of baked goods for the Bake Sale (must be nut free), and there are openings the day before to help set up/decorate.
