Paul Coppola has been named assistant principal at Madison Middle School, according to Supt. Gary Cialfi. He previously served as the Social Studies Curriculum Leader in the Madison school system.
Coppola’s experience includes planning and conducting professional development with a focus on topics such as teacher evaluation and unit study, inquiry-based learning, and the Teachers College at Columbia University’s Close Reading Program.
Coppola earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Boston College, a Master’s Degree from Fairfield and he completed his Sixth Year Leadership Program at Quinnipiac.
Cialfi said Coppola was most impressive in a series of interviews with representatives with staff and parent representatives.
