Father’s Club to hold annual Super Bowl Sunday Pancake Breakfast

The Jane Ryan Father’s Club (JRFC), will host its 21st annual Super Bowl Breakfast on Sunday, Feb. 2, at Jane Ryan School, 190 Park Lane. This is the longest running Father’s Club Pancake Breakfast event in Trumbull’s elementary school system.

The All-You-Can-Eat pancake breakfast is 9 a.m.-noon, and consists of pancakes (blueberry, chocolate chip and plain), sausage, fruit, bagels, juice, coffee and more. Admission is $5 (pre-kindergartners enter free) and be paid at the door. Proceeds from the breakfast support Jane Ryan School by providing funds for new learning aids, books and school equipment.

In addition to the breakfast, the event also features raffles and games of skill. Games include field-goal kicking, football toss, golf putting, dart throwing and other games designed for children of all ages. Participants receive prizes.

Separate raffles are held for children and adults. This year, a third raffle has been added for a large screen TV. Other raffle prizes include golf lessons from Tashua Knolls, weekend getaways, gift cards from local restaurants, spas, and other businesses, professional sports tickets, an electric scooter, American Girl doll, and much more. The cost for raffle tickets a fun way to win great prizes. Both game and raffle tickets may be purchased during the event.

As an extra treat, Storm and B.B. (Bridgeport’s Sound Tigers and Bluefish mascots) will make appearances to meet your youngster(s). JRFC has teamed with the Bridgeport Bluefish to give a lucky young sports enthusiast an in-depth behind the scenes look at life as a professional ballplayer.

Last year, the Father’s Club served more than 2,000 pancakes and nearly 1,000 sausages to nearly 700 attendees.
