The Trumbull Nature and Arts Center (TNAC), invites everyone to join them on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., as they Fall Back to Nature, a free family-oriented event being offered by TNAC serving dual purposes.
First, they are opening the doors for community members to stop by and see what TNAC is all about. Second, it honors their volunteers and sponsors, the most important resources they have as an organization. They will be acknowledging their commitment and presenting them with a token of their gratitude during a brief announcement at noon during the event.
Check out the fun, family activities they have planned: Meet Ranger Mark from 10-11 a.m.; make keepsake boxes and take part in a Nature Scavenger Hunt on the trail; art activities; dig in the dirt for hidden treasures; guess the candy corn contest.
Door prizes for children 12 and under (while supplies last).
Solarize CT will be there to answer questions about solar and winterizing.
Talk to an Appalachian Trail member and learn about section-hiking the AT and backpacking.
Beverages and snacks will be available for sale by local scout troops.
Also, TNAC will be hosting a box where people can drop off non-perishables for the local food bank.
