Demystifying College Admissions and SAT/ACT Test Prep Program Sept. 17

Trumbull residents Mary Spiegel and Lynn Carnegie will present a program “Demystifying College Admissions and SAT/ACT Test Preparation” on Thursday, Sept. 17, from 7-9 p.m., at the Trumbull Library, 33 Quality St. The presentation will include valuable information on the college admissions process, SAT/ACT test preparation tips, and an explanation of the upcoming changes to the SAT test; affecting students starting with the class of 2017.

Mary Spiegel, owner of Spiegel College Planning, has two decades of experience both as a college admission director and as a Certified Educational Planner.  Spiegel will speak to students and parents about important steps to take as they launch their college search.  Topics will include high school curriculum and how colleges read student transcripts; making the most of campus visits and interviews; developing an appropriate list of colleges; current trends in admissions; the application essay and more.

Lynn Carnegie, the founder of Carnegie Pollak test prep, has been preparing students for excellence on college entrance exams since 1984.  Carnegie Pollak strives to give every student a personalized approach to the tests.
