Workshops help chart center's strategy

The Center for Women and Families of Eastern Fairfield County, which serves Trumbull, has begun its transition into The Center for Family Justice, which will bring all services for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault under one roof.

On Thursday and Friday, Nov. 7 and 8, the co-founders of the National Family Justice Center Alliance are leading two day-long workshops to help map the strategic plan for The Center for Family Justice.

The event “will change the way the victims of Bridgeport, Easton, Fairfield, Monroe, Stratford and Trumbull become survivors, organizers said.

“If you have to pick one block, Thursday morning will offer an overview of the Family Justice Center model.”

The event is Thursday, Nov. 7, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Congregation B’Nai Israel, 2710 Park Ave., Bridgeport, and Friday, Nov. 8, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at People’s United Bank, 850 Main St., Bridgeport with parking at 70 State St.
