Film Fanatics. — Film Club recaps summer movies with Joe Meyers. Wednesday, Sept. 11, 6:30-8 p.m. Joe Meyers of Hearst Media Entertainment hosts our film club, and we will re-cap on the summer and get ready for the winter films with fellow film fanatics. Evening career lecture kickoff — Strategic resumé statement; how to have a great interview. Thursday, Sept. 12, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Companies say they are going back to the traditional behavioral interview model, and away from the brain-teaser questions. Does your resumé have the content to help you shine in this new setting? Bill Florin, a Certified Professional resumé writer and iInterview professional and owner of Resu-mazing Services Co., will help you in this class. Register. Free.

Couponing 101 — Maximize your savings and shop for free. Thursday, Sept. 12, 6:30-9 p.m. Expert Gina Juliano returns to the library. Learn to use coupons effectively. Frugalize your home and pet purchases, too. Make effective shopping lists and cut your grocery bill. You must have an understanding of computers and the internet to benefit from this class. Free. Children’s Events 

Family Chess Club — Saturday, Sept. 7, 10 a.m.-noon. Selva Selvarajan’s Family Chess Club will assemble on the first and third Saturdays (except for long weekends). Chess learners and experts from 4 to 94 are welcome. Meet in the Children’s section with your own board, or come to watch.

Upcoming for children 3-6 years — Teddy Bear sleepover and breakfast. Friday, Sept. 13 drop-off-Saturday, Sept. 14, 9:30-10:30 a.m., reunion and breakfast.
