Innovations — The 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Spring Lecture Series, #2. Tuesday, April 12, 10 a.m.-noon. Art Gottlieb will review the scope and history of the ADA. Dancin' with Hoops April vacation event — All Ages. Thursday, April 14, 11 a.m.-noon. Join us for musical and interactive Hoop Dancing fun designed to inspire creative movement, dance, exercise, play and laughter. Custom hula hoops will be available for the whole family participate. Caterpillars storytime — Monday, April 11, 10:15-10:45 a.m.. Attention all wiggly caterpillars. Babies from birth to 12 months are invited to join us for a fun morning storytime. We will enjoy gentle songs, stories, puppets, and more. Drop in.

Butterflies storytime — Monday, April 11, 11-11:30 a.m.. It’s time for your little toddler to turn into a social butterfly. Children ages 1 to 2 years old will enjoy this fun morning storytime with music and puppets. Drop in.

Family game day — All ages. Monday, Apr 11, 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Looking for something fun to do over the spring break? Bring your friends, kids, grandparents or anyone who likes board games to the Fairchild-Nichols branch. You can bring a favorite game from home, too.  All ages. Drop in.

Art explorers — Ages 8-11. Monday, Apr 11, 4-5 p.pm. Kids will explore different kinds of art materials every week and have their works of art displayed in the library. Register.

Be a Junior Librarian — Tuesday, April 12, 10:30-11:30 a.m.. Librarians are the coolest-they get to stamp books, create art work, and they always know where to find the best books. Celebrate National Library Week “working” in a library. For ages 6-12 (parents must stay with children 8 and under). Register.

Shrinky Dink craft — Ages 5+. Tuesday, April 12, 2-3:30 p.m. Do you know what Shrinky Dinks are? They are plastic sheets that you can draw on or color and, when you put them in the oven, they shrink.. We have lots of different designs you can choose from. Register.

Storytime — Ages 2 1/2 -3. Wednesday, April 13, 10:30-11 a.m.. Come join us for storytime. We'll read stories and create some fun art. Drop in.

Library Bingo for kids — Ages 3-11. Wednesday, April 13: 11 a.m.-noon, 1:30-2:30 p.m, or 3:30-4:30 p.m. Come and play bingo with us. We'll have small prizes for the winners. Drop in.

3D print a cookie cutter, Ages 6-12. Wednesday, April 13, 6-7 p.m. Celebrate National Library Week in Creators' Corner. Children will design and print their own cookie cutters. Space limited. Parents must stay with children 8 and under. Register.

Cupcake decorating — Ages 6-12. Thursday, April 14, 2-3 p.m. Celebrate National Library Week with this fun and tasty cupcake decoration workshop. Parents must stay with children 8 and under. Register.
