The Unitarian Universalist Church of Greater Bridgeport, 275 Huntington Road, Stratford, will sponsor its 39th annual Harvest Festival of Arts and Crafts on Stratford's Paradise Green Main Street on Sunday, Sept. 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
In addition to a field of more than 65 local and New England fine artists and craft artisans selling original handmade jewelry and accessories, clothing, home and garden decor, personal care products, and gift ware, this year's festival will include an "obstacle course" bounce house for children of all ages and a raffle for adults for gift certificates for groceries, home repair
supplies, dining out, and the traditional handmade quilt.
Live entertainment will emanate from the gazebo throughout the day and food selections with include traditional lunch and vegetarian/vegan offerings from Paradise Island. Homemade
baked goods will include cheesecake in a variety of flavors. Used books, tapes, DVDs and selected attic treasures will round out the event's offerings.
There is no admission charge and the festival will take place rain or shine. Funds raised help support UUCGB's social outreach activities advocating for social justice.
