Two Booth Hill School students organize 'Give Back' nights

Two Booth Hill School fifth-grade students in the Trumbull Academically Gifted Program (TAG) have organized “give-back” nights at area restaurants to assist the Connecticut Food Bank.  Rachel Weintraub and Calyn Carbone came up with the idea as part of their project for the TAG program.

A portion of the final bill for meals eaten at these participating restaurants will be donated to the Connecticut Food Bank. The Connecticut Food Bank is a non-profit organization that has been helping the hungry for 32 years.

Upcoming schedule:

Bertucci’s (Bridgeport Avenue, Shelton) — Monday, Jan. 27

Ruby Tuesday’s (Bridgeport Avenue, Shelton) — Wednesday, Jan. 28-Friday, Jan. 30

Old Towne Restaurant (Trumbull) — Monday, Feb. 3
