Trumbull’s Boy Scout Troop 65 spent an afternoon during their campout on Sept. 26 making reparations to Scoutland campsite, in Beaches Memorial Park.  The boys fixed broken boards on the bridge used by hikers and bikers, cleaned graffiti from walls of structure located in Scoutland, cleaned the area of trash, cut up downed trees, cleared hiking trails of downed branches, and cleaned the overall camping area, trimming weeds, removing poison ivy and broken glass, as well as building benches around the fire pit.  Troop 65 camps year round and meets on Sunday nights from 7-8:30 p.m. at Long United Methodist Church in Trumbull.
