Trumbull residents perform in Yale Opera production this weekend
Andrew Holms, age 7, will be making his operatic debut in the role of Benoit Fils in Yale Opera’s production of La Boheme on February 14, 15, and 16 at the Shubert Theater in New Haven.
He will share the stage with his mother, Christina Holms, and his older brother, Alexander Holms, age 9, who made his operatic debut in the same role just two years ago. Elisabeth Boveroux, voice student of Mrs. Holms, is also part of the children’s ensemble. The children are all choristers of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Fairfield and will be joined by some of their colleagues on stage. Andrew and Alexander are currently students at Frenchtown Elementary School and Miss Boveroux attends Lauralton Hall. Mrs. Holms teaches classical voice at the Performing Arts Center of Connecticut in Trumbull. Come out this weekend and enjoy the beautiful music by Puccini sung exquisitely by Yale Opera’s graduate students.
