Trumbull resident unites Broadway youth to perform at anti-bullying event

Trumbull resident and Hillcrest Middle School student Rachel Weintraub will continue to stand up to bullying through arts and entertainment at a charity event taking place in New York City, Saturday, Nov. 7.

Weintraub, who performs under the stage name Rachel Arianna, is a singer-songwriter and youth advocate for Free2Luv, which is an award-winning non-profit dedicated to rockin’ individuality, celebrating equality, spreading kindness, and standing up to bullying through arts and entertainment.

All proceeds from the event, which is presented by Kids of the Arts and is part of the Heart to Heart charity series, will benefit Free2Luv.

Weintraub will host the event and be joined by talent from the Broadway community, including Ava Ulloa, Matilda in Matilda; Marquise Neal, Kinky Boots; Peyton Ella, The Sound of Music Live!; Mckayla Twiggs, Les Miserables and Once; Julianna Rigolioso, Mary Poppins; Kirrilee Berger, Mary Poppins and Billy Elliot; Madison Mullahey, Mary Poppins and Shrek; Meg Donnelly, Trevor and Team Toom; Michael Nigro, The Sound of Music Live!; Joy Kate Lawson, A Little Princess; Zachary Brod, A Stool on the End of the Bar; Madeleine Pace, Once; Brynne Norquist, Every Secret Thing.

Other performers include Alex-Renee Davies, Iris Davies, Grace Mozitis, Abigail Paige Murphy, Toleeya Napolitano, McKenzie Mullahey, Nerghiz Sarki, Ayla Schwartz, Reyna Whitty, Camryn Quinlan, Alyssa Marvin, Danny Peña, Brian Nigro, Theodora Silverman, Kaylin Ponce and Maddox Elliot.

The event, which starts at 2 p.m., will be held at 54 Below located at 254 West 54th Street.

Kids of the Arts (KOTA) is a non-profit performing arts organization founded by Laura Luc. KOTA’s mission is to provide performance opportunities for young talent, while giving back to charities locally and around the world.
