Trumbull resident presents at nursing conference

Victoria Flagg, a Trumbull resident and nursing student at Quinnipiac University, was recently invited to make a presentation at the Connecticut Association of Public Health Nurses’ Student Workforce Development Conference.

The conference was held at Il Monticello in Meriden on April 23. It featured presentations on specialized topics in nursing presented by students from throughout the state.

Flagg’s poster presentation, titled “My Personal Health Inventory: A Method for Delivering Holistic Healthcare to Veterans,” described a questionnaire developed by the U.S. Veterans Health Administration Office of Patient Centered Care and Cultural Transformation which helps military veterans assess their own state of health and be proactive about optimizing their health and well-being.

Flagg earned a B.A. degree in Women’s Studies at the University of Connecticut and is currently enrolled in the accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Quinnipiac.

She is a former nationally ranked archer and was a member of the All-USA Academic Archery Team.
