Trumbull Day returns Saturday, June 28, at the field behind Trumbull High School and Hillcrest Middle School.

The town event, topped off with a fireworks display, starts at 12 p.m. and runs until 11 p.m. this year.

Organizers say the event will feature rides, games, children’s activities and music. A beer and wine tent will also be back this year.

Visitors will be charged an admission fee of $5 for ages 6 and over. Admission is free for children 5 and under and military who present an active card.

Trumbull Day started in 1972 to celebrate the town’s 175th anniversary but, due in part to expenses of keeping the event going, it wasn’t held few years, before returning last year.
