Trumbull Congregational Church raises $5K for freshwater well
Trumbull Congregational Church (TCC) raised $4,697 to drill a well for small village in Uganda. The freshwater from this well will replace that which is currently typically taken from dirty ponds.
Besides the obvious health benefits to inhabitants of freshwater, children who spend hours retrieving water from ponds will now be able to go to school, and a new medical facility will be better able to service patients.
THS senior Sarah Thornton started an organization called "LIGHT" that was the inspiration and motivation for the project.
