As it has done in previous years, Trumbull Community Women joined the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women campaign in February to spread the news that heart disease is the number one killer of women. It is more of a threat than all forms of cancer combined and actually kills more women than men.

At their monthly meeting on Feb. 4, the women wore red and distributed the Heart Association’s Red Dress lapel pins and educational materials to its members. And once again, the pins and pamphlets were distributed to the community at both Trumbull libraries in time for Go Red For Women day on Friday, Feb. 7, when all women are encouraged to wear red.
