Town high schools to face off in debate

Students from the debate teams of Trumbull High School and St. Joseph High School will face off for the fourth consecutive year on Wednesday, March 4 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Trumbull Library, 33 Quality Street.

The community is invited to attend.

The debate is the kick-off event of a month long series of programs, this year based on the non-fiction book by Barbara Kingsolver called Animal, Vegetable, Miracle: A Year of Food Life. Members of the debate teams will spar over the statement: Resolved: Genetically engineered foods are needed to feed the world.

Judges for the evening will be three members of the Yale University Debate Association.
