Bottles and Cans redeemable drive — The Trumbull High School Golden Eagles Marching Band (THSGEMB), holds a redeemables drive the second Saturday of every month. Proceeds support the THSGEMB. The redeemable drive will take place from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., in front of Trumbull High School. Drop-off your bottles and cans and help support the Marching Band.

Bus trip to Mohegan Sun — Trumbull Babe Ruth (TBR) will be holding its annual bus trip to Mohegan Sun, open to the public and serves as a key fundraiser for TBR to help offset the many costs associated with running the program. Seats are $40 per person and include transportation to/from Mohegan Sun, a $15 meal ticket and $10 betting voucher. The bus will depart from the Commuter Lot at Route 108 and Penny Lane at 2 p.m., and will return to Trumbull at 10 p.m. Space is limited and seats are first come, first serve. Rails to Back Trails presentation — Local Historian and author, Sue A. DelBianco, will host a historical slide presentation called Rails To Back Trails, at The Stratford Library on Main Street in Stratford in The Lovell Room. DelBianco will take the audience back in time between 1840-1942, showing, through captivating images, the then-and-now of railroad history, and how it evolved in Bridgeport in 1836, and continued its journey through towns such as Trumbull, Monroe, Newtown and stopping in Pittsfield MA. Today, the abandoned railway corridor has become one of Connecticut’s best recreational trails in Bridgeport, the Trumbull Valley, Monroe, and Newtown. Admission is free. Donations needed for animal shelter — Trumbull Animal Shelter, 324 Church Hill Road is in need of the following: Clay litter, rawhide chews, canned cat or canned dog food (any kind) and dog toys for strong chewers (for example, Kongs). Although it is appreciated, soft toys with squeakers and stuffing are discouraged, since the animals can tear them out and get sick.
