Monday’s storm dumped about 6 to 7 inches of snow on the area, but more is on the way.
School was canceled Monday and snow pounded the area throughout the entire day. A small respite will come Tuesday, with a high of 35 degrees and mostly sunny forecast, according to the National Weather Service. But it won’t last.
A winter storm watch is in effect for the region late Tuesday night through 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Accumulations of 6 to 10 inches are possible, along with up to one-tenth of an ince of ice, according to NWS.
Snow will last through Wednesday afternoon, when it gradually turns to rain and sleet.
