Mark your calendar and start training. Trumbull Rotary Club’s 12th annual Sunset Run will be held on Friday, July 26, at 6:45 p.m., at Twin Brooks Park in Trumbull. Each year, the club’s signature event attracts approximately 500 runners. Participants arrive early and linger well after the race to enjoy the camaraderie, live music, food and refreshments, as well as to connect with their fellow runners.

It is a family affair for some runners: Parents and children, husbands and wives, siblings, and even entire families run together in the race. The event features a pre-race “fun run” for children. “It’s a great way to both support one another, and in some cases, the race provides a little friendly competition,” stated Jim Malski, the club’s president.

Participants can register for the race online by visiting the club’s website, trumbullrotary.org and accessing the “Events” page. Race day registration at Twin Brooks Park will begin at 5:15 p.m.

Proceeds from the event will be used to fund charitable projects in the Trumbull community and throughout the world.
