The community members of Trumbull and Monroe, in conjunction with the American Cancer Society and the Trumbull/Monroe Planning Committee, will celebrate their annual Relay For Life fundraising Event this summer.

The event will honor those who have lost their battle with cancer, and share advocacy and encouragement to cancer survivors and their many supporters. Relay For Life will take place on Saturday, June 4 on the Trumbull High School football turf, located at 72 Strobel Road in Trumbull.

The event will commence at 6 p.m. and carry overnight until 6 a.m. the next morning, symbolizing that cancer never sleeps.

Despite the 12-hour duration, the event will feature ongoing activities, food and beverages, and live entertainment, and attendees are encouraged to bring tents for overnight stay.

The event is free and you can create or join a team by registering on the ACS website at http://relay.acsevents.org/site/TR/RelayForLife/RFLCY16NE?fr_id=75601&pg=entry.
