Program explains Social Security at Trumbull Library

The Trumbull Library, 33 Quality S., will host a Social Security Explained program on Sunday, Nov. 8, at 2 pm.

Rebecca Miller, a retirement and estate planning specialist with The Society for Financial Awareness (SOFA) will explain:

What is Social Security?

How is Social Security financed?

Who is eligible for retirement benefits?

When to apply for Social Security?

How to maximize and coordinate benefits with a spouse

How to supplement Social Security with lifetime income sources

Special rules on benefits for divorced spouses and widows

The program is free and open to the public.
