The United Illuminating Company has announced that 1,803 Trumbull residents — 12.95% of its customers in town — are without power Thursday, April 7.

The source of the outage has not been released yet.

The lower part of Main Street, where the Long Hill fire district office is located, has reported to have power.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures aren't predicted to dip below 50 degrees until after 8 p.m. Thursday. There's a 50% chance of rain before 3 a.m., the forecast said, and winds aren't expected to reach more than 14 miles per hour.

The low temperature for Thursday night is predicted to be 40 degrees.

As for Thursday afternon, there's an 100% chance of rain from 2 to 5 p.m. with scattered storms passing through the area, the forecast said.

Wind gusts are ranging from 18 to 20 miles per hours with a high of 34 mile per hour, the National Weather Service added.


"New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible," the report said.
