Operation Hope will hold their annual “Really Big” tag sale Saturday, July 23, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, July 24, from noon to 4 p.m., at First Church Congregational Church, 148 Beach Road, Fairfield. The church has allowed Operation Hope the use of its facility for this long-standing community event.
Donations will be accepted at First Church Congregational, 148 Beach Road, Monday, July 18 through Thursday, July 21, from 9-noon and 5-8.
Operation Hope welcomes donations of furniture, household goods, jewelry, table and kitchen linens, pictures/paintings, toys, gaming systems, newer electronics (flat screen TVs and monitors and newer computers), bikes and outdoor and sporting goods. Operation Hope cannot accept bedding, clothing, cribs, shoes or books. Furniture may be donated during scheduled donation times, but cannot be picked up by Operation Hope.
“Our annual Tag Sale is a productive way for local residents to help Operation Hope and for Operation Hope to offer the community a fun weekend event,” said Carla Miklos, executive director, Operation Hope. “Donated items don’t end up in the landfill, but instead have a chance to find a new home. And buyers not only get a bargain, but also help fund services that support our struggling neighbors.”

The event will be held rain or shine. There is an admission fee of $1, which goes to support Operation Hope’s shelter, housing and hunger programs. There also will be a concession stand hosted by the Fairfield Rotary.
