Next snow storm lining up with Super Bowl

 If you’re traveling to a Super Bowl party Sunday you could be driving home through a snow storm.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for Trumbull and the area in effect from Sunday evening through Monday afternoon.

The storm could bring up to a foot of snow and some ice, according to the weather service.

There’s 45% chance of snow Sunday afternoon in town, according to the weather service, and a 90% of snow by 10  Sunday night. On Sunday night, accumulation of 3 to 5 inches is possible.

The Super Bowl, the most watched television event across the country each year, game kicks off at 6:30 p.m. eastern time and mostly likely will end by 10:30. The New England Patriots play the Seattle Seahawks for the NFL title in Arizona this year.

New snow and sleet accumulation Monday could be between 4 and 8 inches, according to the weather service.

Temperatures are forecasted to be 18 degrees Sunday at game time, rising to 28 by midnight.
