NIA plans holiday bonfire, Christmas party

The Nichols Improvement Association will have its annual Holiday Bonfire on Sunday, December 11 at 5 p.m. on the property's parking lot. Guests are encouraged to park off site in lots on Shelton Road or Huntington Turnpike. There will be music, hot chocolate and hot cider.
On Saturday, December 17, the NIA is hosting its inaugural Ugly Sweater Christmas Party at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 for members and $30 for non-members and include beverages and desserts. Guests are asked to bring an appetizer. There will be prizes, raffles and games for this  adult night out.
The luminaria sale will be held on Saturday, December 17 and Sunday, December 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Luminaria are also kown as "Christmas Fires" and are votive candles placed in sand on the bottom of paper bags lining the walkways, driveways or porchess throughout Nichols. Adult and teen volunteers are needed.
