As October typically marks the arrival of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, many Fairfield County residents have already begun making breast cancer awareness a priority by joining the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Westport walk set to take place on Sunday, Oct. 16 at Sherwood Island State Park. Registration at 9 a.m., walk at 10 a.m. Breast cancer survivors and residents are invited to attend and unite with the community with a shared determination of creating a world free from the pain and suffering caused by breast cancer.
