Albert Einstein once said, "Creativity is intelligence having fun!"
It's time for Trumbull’s 38th Annual Literary Competition. The competition is open to everyone in third grade through senior year of high school, and to all adults.
“As an author and volunteer publicist who supports the literary competition, I encourage you to send in your unpublished fiction, nonfiction and poetry,” said Joanna Leone.
The deadline for applications has been extended — all entries must be postmarked no later than Friday, June 10.
Please click on the link to download the application, http://trumbull-ct.gov/filestorage/7112/7142/2016_Arts_Festival_Literary_Competition_Application.pdf, print the application and attach your creative work.
All rules are included on the application. There are no residency requirements.
The competition is open to everyone in the U.S.A., Canada and all countries.
Winners will be notified by mail in August and awarded at the Literary Ceremony in Trumbull on Sept. 11.
The winning entries will be published in PENWORKS magazine, the official magazine of the literary competition.
