The Trumbull Library will offer a program on heirloom tomatoes presented by Lawrence Davis-Hollander at the main branch of the library at 2:00 pm Sunday, April 3,

Davis-Hollander is founder and former Director of the Eastern Native Seed Conservancy, author of Tomato: A Fresh-from-the-vine Cookbook, writer for Heirloom Gardener, Grit and Yankee Magazine and a principal of Dandelion Gardening Arts (dandeliongardeningarts.com).  

He studied ethnobotany at Harvard University with Richard Evans Schultes one of the world’s foremost ethnobotanists, and has a degree in botany from Connecticut College. He was Director of Horticulture at the Berkshire Botanical Garden, has farmed organically, and gardened beginning when he was 12 years old.

The program is free and open to the public.
