Kennedy Center Autism Project to hold family fun day picnic

The Kennedy Center’s Autism Project is holding a free open house picnic for the public on Saturday, Aug. 13, from noon-2 p.m, at the Twin Brooks Park picnic pavilion. Parents and their children are encouraged to attend.

Come learn about The Kennedy Center’s Autism Project in an informal setting, enjoy an afternoon full of field games, a potluck picnic, and the opportunity to mingle with staff and other families in a supportive atmosphere.

The picnic will be potluck style. The Kennedy Center will provide the burgers, hot dogs and veggie burgers, while participating families will be asked to bring a side dish, beverage, or dessert, if possible.
