Hometown author at Trumbull Library Aug. 6
Author Maura Weiler with be appearing at the Trumbull Library, 33 Quality St., on Thursday, Aug. 6, at 6:30 p.m. Her only appearance in Connecticut this summer, Weiler is visiting her hometown to discuss her debut novel Contrition.
She grew up in Trumbull, and earned her BA and MA in English Literature from the University of Notre Dame and the University of Chicago, respectively. She is a former columnist for The Connecticut Post and a trash artist whose work has been featured on NBC television and in galleries and shows across the country.
As Director of Development at Blue Tulip Productions, she helped develop the screenplays for such films as Speed, Twister, The Paperboy, and Minority Report.
At the library appearance, copies of Contrition will be available to purchase and the author will allow time for signing. This event is free and open to the public.
