
A special program on the history of the famous Ritz Ballroom, a historical music and dancing venue once located in Bridgeport, will take place on Sunday, March 13, at 1 p.m., at The Center at 23 Priscilla Place, in Trumbull.
Jeffrey C. Williams, author of the book Home of the Happy Dancers: The Story of Bridgeport, Connecticut’s Ritz Ballroom will present the story of this amazing venue that attracted all the famous Big Bands of the 1940’s.
The program is presented by The Trumbull Arts Commission and the Trumbull Library System’s One Book, One Town program.
Thirty copies of William’s book will be raffled off to those attending. Cabaret seating is available and attendees are welcome to bring their own refreshments.
