The public is invited to Get Your Check-Up from the Neck Up at a free wellness month event on Friday, Oct. 9, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., or online. Information will be available on stress management, sleep hygiene, mood-boosting foods, resilience, mindfulness, and local services. Activities supporting wellness and healthy snacks will be provided.

Visitors will be able to take a free mental health screening, discuss the results with a clinician, and get a referral to treatment if needed.

The events will be offered at the Trumbull Senior Center, 23 Priscilla Place. Other locations and dates can be found at www.HealthyMindsCT.org.

Visitors to the site can take a self-assessment for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, alcohol use, or eating disorders. Parents can use an online tool to screen for depression in their teenager.
