The Trumbull Library, 33 Quality St., will host the band Coastal Reeds on Sunday, Nov. 18, at 2 p.m.

The quartet showcases the unusual and beautiful sounds of the double reed instruments. Based in Connecticut, the group performs entertaining and educational concerts in various combinations of oboe, oboe d’amore, English horn and bassoon. The members met while playing in various musical groups over the years, and developed a special bond with each other.

Members include: Tamar Beach Wells, oboe; Marilyn Krentzman, oboe d’amor; Anne Megan, English horn; and Rebecca Noreen, bassoon.

The group has performed individually with the United States Coast Guard Band, Hartford Symphony Orchestra, Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra, Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra, New Haven Symphony Orchestra, Greater Bridgeport Symphony, Borealis Wind Quintet and many other groups throughout New England.

The concert is free and open to the public. To reserve a seat, register through the library’s website: trumbullct-library.org, or call 203-452-5197.
