On Saturday, Aug. 3, 14 diverse bands will be volunteering their time and talent for the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund. This event will take place at Cherry Street Station in Wallingford, on two stages (inside and outside). There is something for everyone at this festival.

Starting at 3 p.m., the audience will be entertained by a wide variety of music (rock, funk, Latin, reggae, rhythm and blues, folk, instrumental, etc.). In the spirit of traditional music festivals, a one time “Superjam” has been formed, featuring musicians from many different bands to headline the outside stage.

When the sun goes down, Chords for a Cure will turn into a heavy metal concert, headlined by a one-off Dio tribute. A minimum $10 donation admits one into the entire event. All shows at Cherry Street Station are strictly 21+.
