Cher impersonator will headline church Mardi Gras celebration
A Mardi Gras/Fun Night will be held on Saturday, Feb. 14, at Armenian Church of the Holy Ascension’s Aghahigian-Sherinian Church Hall, 1460 Huntington Tpke., in Trumbull.
Headlining the event are Steven Andrade as Cher — Cher is half Armenian, born as Cherilyn Sarkisian. Also the Antranig Dance Ensemble, the foremost Armenian dance group in the United States. The Barynya’s NYC Can Can Cabaret dancers, the dance company based in New York City who perform in various cabarets and clubs and have performed in New York City, including the Carnegie Hall. Also, the Chauncey Street Blues Band, a local band featuring the Kuroughlians.
There will also be additional performers and an opportunity to dance to Armenian music.
Fresh off the stage from his hit show Believe — Divas In A Man’s World, Steven Andrade performing at A.C.H.A. with his Cher impersonation and identical Bob Mackie costume replicas.
This event is BYOB and mezza (i.e. food, appetizers). Refreshments available for your purchase.
Tickets are $10 for adults; under 18 free (with adult). Tables can be reserved.
