A devastating fire that ripped through a White Plains Road home on April 24 has left one family reeling without a home and the rest of the Trumbull community looking for ways to help.

That’s why a GoFundMe page was started last week after the Fire Marshal condemned the building, which served as a church, a preschool, and a home to the Scanlon family, as a total loss.

The family has resided there since 1989, according to the GoFundMe page.

The large fire destroyed the Blessed Lambs Preschool, despite the best efforts from Trumbull fire crews that afternoon.

In addition to Blessed Lambs, the building also served as a home to Blessed Assurance Prayer Community.
