Show will held at VFW Post 7788, which will be the beneficiary of the show.

The Southport Fire Department presents the annual Fired Up car show Saturday, Aug. 9, 11-4 p.m.
Held at the Ukrainian American Club of Southport, 279 King’s Drive, it’s open to all cars and trucks.

A car show will take place at Plasko’s Farm, 670 Daniels Farm Road in Trumbull, on Sunday, Aug. 17, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Co-sponsored with the Monroe Street Rodders, the show will feature Street Rods, Hot Rods, Muscle cars, Classic and Customs 1985 and earlier; $10 registration for cars at the gate. Gates for cars close when the lot is full. Trophies will be awarded. Free admission .
A portion of the profits will benefit St. Vincent’s Swim Across the Sound.
