How to Fund College without Going Broke — Thursday, Feb. 4, 6:30-7:45am and Saturday, Feb. 6, 10-11:15am. Trumbull resident Mike Dailey's excellent class covering how to plan for college expenses, including what it might cost, wise college choice, how to finance more than one child, and the best way to manage the expense. Includes a family financial run. Register. Free.

AARP Driving Safety class — One day/four hours. Tuesday, Feb. 9, 12:30-4:30 p.m. The nation's first classroom refresher class for motorists, with trained instructors, course materials, how to avoid hazards, and no tests. Completion certificate for possible insurance premium discount. Register. $15 for members, $20 for nonmembers, payable to AARP by check or cash, at the door. Those with AARP cards should bring them.

Teens: Duct tape roses for Valentine’s Day — Tuesday, Feb. 9, 4:30-5:15 p.m. If you love Valentine's Day make a pink rose. If you hate Valentine's Day make a black one. All materials provided. Refreshments. Register.

Winter Beach Party on Take Your Child to the Library Day — Saturday, Feb. 6, 10am-1pm. Music Mandy, Stories, Games Face Painting. Pictures, stories and rhymes. Launched in CT-now international. Take your child to the library as it is a treasure trove for all ages. Drop in.

Preschool University for 4's and 5's — Monday, Feb. 8, 10-10:45 a.m., or Thursday, Feb. 11, 1:30-2:15 p.m. Preschoolers will practice the skills needed for kindergarten all while having fun with this new story time format. Drop in. Child or caregiver Trumbull resident.

Toddler Time for 2's and 3's — Tuesday, Feb. 9, 10-10:45 a.m., or Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1:30-2:15 p.m. Toddlers will explore learning stations, music and movement, and great stories in our new story time format. Drop in. Child or caregiver Trumbull resident.

Baby Café — Birth to age 2. Wednesday, Feb. 10 or Thursday, Feb. 11, 11-11:30 a.m. Baby's first introduction to the library. Babies and caregivers can expect a jam-packed session of rhythm and rhymes guaranteed to enchant our littlest explorers. Drop in. Child or caregiver Trumbull resident.

5th annual Take Your Child to the Library Day. Saturday, Feb. 6, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Stories, crafts, scavenger hunts, bingo, a 'photo booth', and more. Creators' Corner will be open for 3D printer demonstrations. Meet a treasure trove for a lifetime. Drop in.

Virtual Reality Workshop — Saturday, Feb. 6, 1-2 p.m. Creators' Corner presents virtual reality at your fingertips. Explore it with a cardboard viewer and a smartphone and check out some really cool apps. For adults and children 7+ . Bring your smart phone; cardboard viewers provided, one per registrant/family. One person registers, and then may bring other family.

Caterpillars storytime — Monday, Feb. 8, 10:15-10:45 a.m. Attention all wiggly caterpillars. Babies from birth to 12 months are invited to join us for a fun morning storytime. We will enjoy gentle songs, stories, puppets, and more. Drop in.

Butterflies storytime — Monday, Feb. 8, 11-11:30 a.m. It’s time for your little toddler to turn into a social butterfly. Children ages 1 to 2 years old will enjoy this fun morning storytime with music and puppets. Drop in.

Creators' Corner — 3D printer drop in. Monday, Feb. 8, 3:30-5:30 p.m., or Wednesday, Feb. 10, 3-6 p.m., and learn by observing a demonstration or trying it out for yourself in a guided hands-on learning experience. Stop by.

Art Explorers — Ages 8-11. Monday, Feb. 8, 4-4:45 p.m. Kids will explore different kinds of art materials (pastels, charcoal, watercolor, etc.) every week and have their works of art displayed in the library. Register.

Storytime — Ages 2 1/2-3. Wednesday, Feb. 10, 10:30-11 a.m. We'll read stories and create some fun art. Drop in.

Mini Artists — Ages 3-5. Thursday, Feb. 11, 10:30-11:15 a.m. In this class, you'll get to make wonderful projects that you can take home. Register. Held twice monthly.

Toddler Yoga with Jyothi — Ages 1-4. Thursday, Feb. 11, 11:30 a.m.-noon. Parents are welcome to join their children, as they learn postures, breathing techniques, meditation, and relaxation in a fun, age-appropriate setting with music. Mats not required. Registration required for each session; max. 10.
