Teens: Wind Power with the Discovery Museum – Thursday, July 21, 4-6 p.m. The fastest growing energy resource in the U.S.A. right now is wind. Discovery Museum revisits the library this summer to bring a fun and educational workshop on the engineering and practical uses for wind energy. Free. Register.

Caring for Our Elderly Parents – Wednesday, July 27, 6:30-8 p.m. An authoritative three-person panel on planning and providing care for seniors addresses aging, health, housing, cost, and the continuum of care. Friday Fun with Music Mandy – Friday, July 22, 10-10:30 a.m. Trumbull resident and music educator Mandy Cook will entertain the masses in the main area of the children’s room. Drop in Fridays in July.
Choose Your Own Run: Beardsley Zoo – Saturday, July 23, 8:30-9:30 a.m. Run wild at the Beardsley Zoo. Stop along the way to see nearly 300 animals. Spend an hour, or the whole day. Entry fee $5 for each runner; spend as long as you wish in the zoo after the run. Pre-registration and payment required in person at the children’s desk.
Drama Workshop with Ingrid Schaeffer – Saturday, July 23, 1-2:30 p.m. Do you like to act? Sing? Dance? Theater Arts teacher Ingrid Schaeffer returns to stage The Tortoise and the Hare with kids ages 5-9. Free. Register.
