Butterflies in Your Backyard – Wednesday, Aug. 3, 6:30-8 p.m. A special presentation on our local butterflies is led by Victor DeMasi, research affiliate at Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History, and Wetland Conservation Officer in Redding, CT. Discussion, powerpoint, and butterfly specimens are included. Free. Register.

Friday Fun with Music Mandy – Friday, July 29, 10-10:30 a.m. Trumbull resident and music educator Mandy Cook will entertain the masses in the main area of the children’s room. Drop in.

Baby Café – Birth to age 2. Wednesday, Aug. 3, 11-11:30 a.m. Sing, play, read, and have fun with your little one. Drop in.

Dancing with Hoops – All ages. Thursday, Aug. 4, 11 a.m.-noon. Musical and interactive Hoop Dancing entertainment inspires creative movement, physical expression, exercise, and laughter. Custom hula hoops will be available for use and all ages are welcome to participate. Drop in. Trumbull residents only.

Butterflies storytime – Ages 1-2. Monday Aug. 1, 11-11:30 a.m. Children will enjoy this fun morning storytime with music and puppets. Drop in.

Maker Monday – Grades K-5. Monday Aug. 1, 2-3 p.m. Have fun exploring our three different maker stations and learning cool science. Register.

Tools everyone should know how to use – Adults and teens. Monday Aug. 1, 6:30-7:30 p.m. There are basic household tools that everyone should know how to use. Presented by Creators’ Corner, this program will show how to use them correctly to make your life easier. Free. Register.

“Drive-In” movie – Ages 3 and up. Tuesday, Aug. 2, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Decorate and sit in your very own “car” to watch a short children’s show/cartoon. Popcorn. Register.

Body Basics – With Mad Science. Ages 5 and up. Wednesday, Aug. 3, 4-5 p.m. Study your insides by learning about the major body systems: How food is digested, how blood flows, and how the brain controls all of these parts. Take home a Digestor Inspector and see some guts in action. Register.
