Tickets are on sale now for A Taste of Trumbull fund-raising event — at the Main Library, Sunday, Nov. 6, 5-7 p.m. A Taste of Trumbull will feature Jazz Pianist Steve Moran. It also will highlight local restaurants’ fare. Tickets are $25/single, $40/couple. Proceeds to benefit Teen Center at the Main Library.

Cupcake Wars — Part 2. Middle and high school. Saturday, Sept. 17, 3-4:30 p.m. Cupcake decorating workshop returns. You will be given three naked cupcakes, three themes, and all the decorating materials to create the best cupcake. Register; max. 15.

Blue Sky Band — Sunday Concert Series. Sunday, Sept. 18, 2-3:30 p.m. Join us for the kick-off Sunday concert. The Blue Sky Band plays fan favorites and deeper cuts from the ’60s and ’70s, with genres that include folk, swing, and pop. Details online. Register.

Digital Downloads: Overdrive and Zinio demo — Wednesday, Sept. 21, 10-11:30 a.m. Lecture/demonstration of the Overdrive system for downloading ebooks, audiobooks, periodicals and live streaming of video as well as how to download magazines from the Zinio system. Staff member Mary Rogers will show how to search the Overdrive system and how easy it is to download each to your device. Trumbull residents. Register.

Book discussion for grades 6 and up — Memoirs of an Imaginary Friend, by Matthew Dicks. Wednesday, Sept. 21, 5-5:45 p.m. Max has Asperger’s Syndrome, but most just say he’s ‘on the spectrum’. Max’s imaginary friend Budo protects him from schoolyard bullies, uncomfortable situations and more. An unusual and heartwarming story told from Budo’s point of view. Toddler yoga with Jyothi — Ages 1-4. Thursday, Sept. 22, 11:30 a.m.-noon. Jyothi and yoga for toddlers. Parents are welcome to join their children. Children will learn postures, breathing techniques, meditation, and relaxation in a fun, age-appropriate setting with a supportive musical playlist. Mats not required.
