Trumbull Library Community Focus Group — Thursday, July 16, 6:30-8 p.m. The TLS is thinking about its future and tonight’s town-wide focus group will help us get input. Your voice matters because the library is your town resource. Trumbull residents of all ages are welcome. Held at main library.
Decoupage Comic Box for middle and high school — Tuesday, July 21, 4-5 p.m. A fun art project using Mod Podge, papier mache boxes, and comic book pages. Choose from comics provided, or bring one of your own if you prefer. Materials provided. Register; max. 20.

Endurance hiker and 2012 National Geographic Adventurer of the Year — Jennifer Pharr Davis, Wednesday, July 22, 6:30-7:30 p.m. World class athlete and adventurer Davis shares her accomplishments tonight. She has logged more than 12,000 miles and has a record-breaking Appalachian hike time. Refreshments. Giveaways from Denali, Trumbull’s new outdoor sports store. Free. Register.
Melanoma, the most serious skin cancer-A Yale discussion — Thursday, July 23, 6:30-8 p.m. Surgeons Sajid Khan and Shareef Jandali will provide an overview of skin cancer and the more severe form melanoma. Learn about screening, detection, surgical removal and reconstruction. Register. Free.

Beginner sewing for ages 7-10 — Monday, July 20, 3-4 p.m. Learn basic hand sewing in this three-week basic sewing workshop. Week two: Make a simple stuffed animal. Follow a pattern to cut your pieces, learn the running stitch and how to sew on a button. Register; max 15.
