Melanoma, the most serious skin cancer-A Yale discussion — Thursday, July 23, 6:30-8 p.m. Surgeons Sajid Khan and Shareef Jandali will provide an overview of skin cancer and the more severe form melanoma. Learn about screening, detection, surgical removal and reconstruction. Register. Free.
Black box challenge for grade 6 and up — Wednesday, July 29, 3-4:15 p.m. Using simple materials create a 'black box” device into which a marble will be dropped. Design it to slow the marble's passage through the box to achieve the maximum delay before exit. How slow you can go? Led by the Discovery Museum. Register; max 20.
